'Affirmation' at The Bargate Monument Gallery opens to the public 31st May 2006

For the past 18 months, Sarah Misselbrook has been developing a new body of work entitled 'Affirmation' with funding support from Arts Council England, South East.

'Affirmation’ includes sculptural bodily extensions, figurative skeletal forms, canvases and a video performance. This body of work continues the exploration into body image, consumption and the beautifying of the subject. Further developing her multi-disciplined approach, Misselbrook has employed various techniques and processes to embody her ideas and concepts.

'Affirmation' will be on show in a solo exhibition at the Bargate Monument Gallery run by a space arts organisation, in the centre of Southampton from 31st May 2006.
