ela,ela past shows in Cyprus
ela,ela is the innovative name under which international artists are showing the fruits of their year at Cyprus College of Art. Professional artists from around the world have come together to work in a group studio environment. Although joined by a common theme, exploring the abundance of nature, culture, history and social structures of Cyprus, artists in this double show come from diverse backgrounds and experiences, originating from Great Britain, Ireland, America and Canada.
ela,ela staged two opening reception evenings. The first on 17 may at 7pm at the idrima panicos mavrellis, limassol and the second on 19 may at 7pm in the lempa studios, cyprus college of art, pafos. Everyone was welcome to the opening nights and, while they viewed this ground breaking exhibition of artworks by international artists from cyprus college of art, complimentary refreshments were served care of Hennessy Cognac.
The ela,ela exhibitions in Cyprus saw visitor numbers of over 600 and sales of artwork over £CYP6000. We would like to thank those of you who made it to the show, invested in the work and supported our artist group.
