Returning as a mature student in 2004, I completed a joint degree in Art for Public Space together with Theology and Religious Studies. The boundaries of art and religion continually cross as do nature and spirituality which are the subjects of exploration in my artwork.

As an artist I am drawn to the landscape, not as a painter but as a participant, to integrate in and be part of it. My creativity comes from connecting with elements of the landscape. Using natural materials in their own environment is the ideal but whatever the material, I find the energy of the land dictates the design and the mountains, woods, plains and seas of Cyprus have allowed huge potential for experimentation.

My time here has strengthened my desire to continue working with the earth in community and environmental art. We are all on a journey but to a different rhythm, crossing and interacting, and to react at that crossroad is a unique and exciting adventure.
