I graduated in 2006 from Moravian College with a BA in Fine Arts, minoring in Religious Studies. Throughout my undergraduate studies I practiced with various media, and during my time in Cyprus I have furthered that practice, focussing primarily on paints, pen, ink and dry point etching. My drawing and printing are primarily based on the classical techniques and religious philosophy. I try to create a kind of mythology that can exist in the contemporary world, using symbols and iconic images to portray, and at times personify, common themes and ideas. My painting, on the other hand, tends to be highly abstract, acting as a method of visually impressing usually formless concepts. It also acts as a means through which I can be free and loose, exploring different combinations of materials and different techniques of applications.

Overall my goal as an artist is to visually express the things I feel and think in a way that is accessible to the common person, as well as having a high artistic quality. I want the work to be visually stimulating and highly emotive, pulling the viewer into my frame of thought so as to make a personal connection with the viewer and myself.
