Arching back unveiled - April 2005
In April 2005 Sarah Misselbrook installed an exterior sculptural
archway commissioned by the Dolphin Hotel in Southampton to bring
life to it's recently landscaped garden.
The galvanised steel figurative profiles show the artist's body
in fluid movement supported by metal tubing which elevates the figure
enabling access into the outdoor space.
Relating this commission to her practice, Misselbrook uses the female
figure to create a sculptural form which resonates with it's surroundings.
