Affirmation, Misselbrook’s largest solo show to date, installed at the bargate monument gallery, Southampton, portrayed works surrounding issues of consumerism, beautification and surface image.

A true multi-media show including painted canvases, film, digital print, casts and sculptures, ‘Affirmation’ sought to question the importance placed on female body image. With the artist’s body and face used as canvas, surface to cast from and sculpt to, the works embodied a personal self-analysis as well as presenting a generic female response accessible to all.
