1m2 was temporarily loaned to the Southampton City Art Gallery and exhibited alongside the gallery’s permanent collection. As an emerging artist, the exhibition of Misselbrook’s piece highlighted the gallery’s investment in young artists’ careers.

What has now become Misselbrook’s signature sculptural work to date, 1m2 presents a full, solid plaster cast of the artist’s body. The ‘made to measure’ steel cage restricts the figure whilst threatening and defensive spikes protrude from the spinal column.
